The red, the blue and yellow
Were everything I had -
It felt like my forever,
And I have no regret.
But then, the colours came,
Enchanted, uninvited.
They took me, learnt my name
And changed me for a lifetime...
Survivor of the time of fear
Is what I was before I reached this cabin.
I long for him, and it was somehow near, -
The nighmares is what made me blind.
I thank the Suriel for opening my eyes.
I let the brush to be a tongue of my reflection
That speaks in silence of this place and melts the time,
As answers grow in me in the immortal fashion,
As I piece everything together, like a puzzle,
As something shifts in me to where it should have been.
The games of past have left me only fuzzy,
I missed the point that I must have seen...
New family - I paint them and cherish
The moments they have given me of trust.
And I confess, I'm being rather selfish
To step away and seek escape in art.
Well, may be, I have always been just broken,
And may be, I've been simply incomplete:
Another side of darkness welcomed me unspoken
That I have never thought to be a fit.
I let the colours last and fill the space
Without prejudice and dry excuses, -
I'm scared, deep inside, to face my mate,
I'm hesitant to see a shared future
On top of danger looming in the distance.
Compared to my dreams, it is much more...
It speaks to foundations of existence,
It promises to heal and make me whole...
But there is knock on door, and I do open...
I am surprised that I still have my words
For what's to come, when he will cross the doorstep,
And I will have the Night itself to hold...
