Those gracious falling leaves...
How could I leave behind
The brightness of the colours' feast,
The richness of eternal kind?
But here I am, a shelter-seeking son
Of ruler of the lasting Autumn world,
Who broke every inch of what I loved:
My heart - just desert with the winds of sorrow.
The Spring responded kinder to me,
And this was where I thought to be my future
Until a hand of fate destroyed my will
In swift and unexpected old maneuver.
A gift, a blessing, light and mere torture -
To be around someone Made
Against her wish and nature's very order...
I still cannot decide if I am late
Or just so early that it's never right
To voice my soul, tied in ancient bond,
Protected by the force of Night.
I only pray that, one day, we could talk...
I'm never tired straying through indifference:
I know she has been thrown into me
And forced to be at mercy of the pictures
That she herself would never wish to see.
But this is more than string that spans between us.
My heart and body rhyme in single flow
Of something deeper than a passion or a reason,
Against all knowledge that makes me so old.
And may, one day, she find home in me,
Despite decades of fire and the grief, -
I'm fox, and I will wait against the wind,
Until she hears song of autumn leaves.
