The Story Speaks In You

On Winter Solstice
Result of sleepless nights, unspoken words...
The longest one is doing me favour:
I let my thoughts become a glassy rose
To tell the story of my secret craving.

A day does not begin, proceed and fade
That I would not get envious of brothers,
So fortunate to meet and win the mates.
For me, it somewhat turns in endless struggle.

I cannot stand the scent of their bond,
Not when I sense the depth of her indifference.
My feelings grow, when this is simply wrong
To act against the nature of existence.

But this is dark and quiet here tonight...
And even shadows soften in her presence,
And we exchange the gifts without eyes,
And burning spreads through my entire essence.

The moment that I am to steal away
Is precious, and the silence has been mutual, -
I read it in her glance. I am not late,
Though I am yet to calculate the future...

And here it comes: an order and a warning,
A second until this can't be reversed.
She only gets to mutter "I am sorry",
I step away, subjecting both to hurt...

But truth is mine. It's whispered by the shadows,
Intoxication had already spread,
It overwrote dreams and past that echos.
I step away... as time may not be yet.
